Steps to Apply

1. Submit an application

Prospective Families and Current Stevens Families: Click here to create an account or log in to our application. To submit an additional application, click "apply another child" on the bottom right hand side.

Please Note: If you are reapplying from a previous year, please email admissions@stevenscoop.org. We will be able to ensure your account is for the correct entering year.

2. Request All Forms from your Child's Current School

If your child is currently enrolled in school, we require forms to be completed by your child's current teacher and the school's director or principal. We will not accept recommendations from a former teacher. In the Admissions Progress Page of the Parent/Guardian portal, you can enter the current teacher’s email address, as well as the school administrator's, and they will receive an email with a link to the confidential recommendation form. Information for homeschooled applications is available here.

Applicants to our Early Childhood Program (PreK 3s, PreK 4s, and Kindergarten) who have not attended a formal school do not need to have completed forms. Forms for playgroups, extracurricular classes or drop off programs are not accepted.

Parents/guardians cannot request form completion prior to October 1 of the current school year.

3. Request Transcripts from your Child's Current School

In order to request confidential transcripts, you must download the transcript release form found in your Admissions Progress Page checklist. Once you have signed this document, please give it to your child’s current school.

Regardless of your child's age, if they are enrolled in school a transcript/report/assessment is required. All confidential transcripts must be emailed from your child's school directly to admissions@stevenscoop.org.

4. Complete Student Interview

All candidates will participate in an in-person student interview/evaluation, which is scheduled through your Admissions Progress Page. During this evaluation, parents/guardians will receive a building tour.

5. Complete Parent/Guardian Interview

All parent interviews will take place on Zoom and can be scheduled on the Admissions Progress Page of the Parent/Guardian Portal. You will have the opportunity to learn more about the school and ask additional questions.

6. Submit Work Samples for 3rd-7th Grade Applicants

Parents/Guardians of 3rd-7th grade applicants must upload additional documents to the Admissions Progress Page. They are required to upload two graded writing samples and two graded math samples. These samples should be recent and include grades and/or feedback from a teacher.
